These dirt bag scammers are already using web sites and email to pass themselves off as well-known donation or charity organization to raise money for totally fictitious charities.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has found more than 4,000 bagus scam web sites and 60% of them are based overseas. Users are advised to make sure dollars reach at the right hand by contributing to the “Haiti Relief and Development” fund of the American Red Cross, Red cross haiti or visit Forbes magazine which identified and created links to 22 other major American charities that announced to be the real Haiti relief programs.
